About the Book

griff book coverMy name is Griff. I'm a Brussels Griffon, maybe the world's largest. I grew way past the perfect 8-12 pounds and ended up living alone in a barn until someone finally decided to take me to the pound. That's where I was rescued by my Mom and Dad. It's funny how life happens and sometimes presents plan B. That's what happened to Mom and me. She has a favorite expression that definitely applies to me: One person's trash is another person's treasure. I'm Mom's 39-pound treasure.

Plan B takes Griff and his mom halfway across the country to a place that presents challenges to this rescue dog, who is used to his imperfect routine. New isn't better for Griff, who digs in his heels and resists this big change. Even so, little by little, Griff discovers that he loves to pose for the camera, loves to dress up, and loves Pup-Peroni, which he insists on as payment in advance for posing.

If you're 5, Griff hopes this story puts a smile on your face. If you're 15, he hopes it enables you to embrace change and celebrate the ways you are different. If you're 25 or 45 or 85, he hopes it evokes joy in your own journey or helps to inspire the courage to take a new path. If you're lucky enough to live in Palm Springs, he thanks you for your part in making it a magical place and he looks forward to meeting you one day.
